Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born on March 4 1954 is an actress from Canada. O'Hara has won a number prizes which include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) and two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada. In 2020 she received the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara made her debut as an actress in 1974 as in The Second City, an comedy troupe that improvised in Toronto. Alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd she was part of the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara and Candy began working on Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for her outstanding writing for a Variety Series. O'Hara was a member of the new Second City artistic Advisory Board and was led by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board were Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key. Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
