Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She held the post from 2021 until 2022. She is a part of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011), the spokesperson for US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a political contributor for CNN from 2017 through 2020. Her career in politics began in 2001 when she worked for the reelection campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrats running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed as the press secretary's assistant in John Kerry's 2004 presidential race. Psaki served from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 for political communication serving as press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. [20] Psaki was fired as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State on February 11, 2013. The appointment at the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney as he left for the White House, on May 30th, 2014 it was announced Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was appointed communications director in the White House and continued to continue to do so until the end of 2015.
